Well Fed Hopper

In addition to all of the insects this 'denizen of the pond' consumes daily, she has also learned to await my bi daily fish food toss in. She doesn't actually eat the fish food pellets herself but awaits stealthily for our native Gambusia/ Eastern Mosquito Fish to come rushing over to enjoy a favorite 'treat'. She then leaps at the small fish, usually capturing at least a couple each time. I've started tossing the pellets to different parts of the pond each time...trying to make it, at least a bit more challenging for her and her froggy pals (who have now started to copy her MO).
