Noble false widow spider

I was in mid-scone making mode when the food mixer stopped working.
I tried to finish off by mixing by hand when the cry when up from my Blip Spotter
”There’s a spider with a golden bottom here.”

I dropped the mixture, raced for the camera and here you see the result

The food mixer sprang to life, I was covered in flour, the honoured guests were about to arrive, the scones went into the oven and the spider with its golden abdomen went on its way.

A magnificent spider, the scones were the best ever, served with clotted cream and black cherry conserve and I’m exhausted
