Wasdale.

This is where I wanted to be last Friday, but with a fire, road closed in Gosforth and a diversion via Seascale and Drigg joining the A595 at Holmrook. , so I decided to go to Eskdale instead.
The Gosforth village shop was destroyed and now fenced off, but the road is open.  
As you can see the weather was cloudy when I took this, but the rest of the day was sunny.  
Today I was working on having foreground and background in focus as well as recording what this valley is like in summer.  Bracken covers most of the ground in this part of the valley.  Behind is Scafell Pike half hidden by the rowan tree which is full of orange berries.
