The Shopping list.

I found this today whilst looking for old photos.

 This was weekly shopping list for my Mother and Father whilst living on Exmoor in the early 50’s. My Mother would phone through the order to the International Stores in Barnstaple ready to collect.

I remember the stores quite clearly with the wooden counters and the tins of biscuits loose in front of the counter, and the huge bacon slicer behind the counter. A very different shopping experience then 

All in good old pounds shillings and pence!
