Ear

I found this growing in the garden. I think it's an ear of wheat (perhaps a seed from bird food that has germinated) but I'm not sure. I don't think I'll be grinding it into flour though. I should be digging out all the weeds (and there are quite a lot now), but it's much too hot to even think about gardening. Am I being pathetic? I'm not sure, but I'm fairly sure I'm not doing any gardening until the temperature has dropped a bit.

Exciting day tomorrow - Adam is coming back from Japan for a holiday - can't wait to meet him at the airport!
