Der Gruene Bunker

It was a bit of a late start after a good night's sleep. We then took the train into Hamburg. We had a leisurely stroll through town, had lunch overlooking the Alster, before walking through Planten & Blomen and the Wallanlagen, heading to the recently opened Gruenen Bunker. This is the old flak bunker, built by the Nazis. It has been repurposed and reopened this July containing a hotel, recording studio, restaurant etc. and you can take a walk up to the top - fantastic!
After this fantastic experience we went to meet some friends in a great restaurant. It was a fitting end to a wonderful day!
