Big Yin

Got the first garden work quote this morning….suggesting we take the apple tree out completely given how it’s pushing the wall by the stairs! We’ll see what the other quotes say but this one turned out to be quite pricey!
Catch up call with VG, talking admission numbers, families and resistance to admin, then I went to collect Ad&L to take them to IKEA. I haven’t been for ages and took the opportunity to get various storage things and a new peace lily but managed to resist the tea lights!
We also stopped in Sainsbury’s to get some more things before I dropped them back home and returned, pretty hungry, for a very late cheese on toast lunch.
Changed my bed and did some tidying before it was time to walk down to town to see Dear Billy, an affectionate tribute to Billy Connolly. Very cleverly done one man piece (plus musicians) using the words of many interviewees about their views on and experiences of the Big Yin. Lots of laughs and a couple of poignant sections, and very well acted.
On the way home A phoned and we chatted as I walked and she drove home. She’d had a busy day at work, and was saying N’s Dad is coming over to stay with them for a few days on Sunday.
Home and put the anew storage to work but the chair seat pads that I’d bought didn’t work so I’ll have to take them back.
It’s been a breezy but largely bright day, other than a shower when when we were in ikea and another when I was in the show.
