Flew out of Terminal 1 at SFO, been forever since we were at that terminal and it's been fully updated and is very nice.  The main hall at PDX is also finally open but still not quite complete, lots of walking detours and areas closed but nevertheless it was great to see this finally nearing completion and it is very attractive.

(Stopped in at an outpost of Green Apple Books at Terminal 1 and picked up a new novel I wanted to read, Long Island Compromise by Taffy Brodesser-Akner, she’d been interviewed on a podcast I like and she was very interesting.  (I’d seen the TV adaptation of her first book but hadn’t read it.)).  


From start to finish it was a journey full of delays (some of them a bit bizarre).  

Thankfully we know where the 24 hr grocery stores are in Portland so were able to pick up some basics en route when we finally arrived.
