A Really Difficult Jigsaw

This is a 300 piece jigsaw I bought for our 6 year old grandson, having been lulled into a false sense of security by the fact he had no bother doing the 250 piece one of Santa's workshop. This is a totally different beast. I think they started it in January on this special red board and it  has been littering up their dining room ever since. Today we were looking after the 2 boys with time to spare while they played, so feeling rather guilty about it Mr CR and I decided to do some. 2 hours later we hadn't finished it. By then the 6 year old had wandered over and immediately added quite a few pieces so hopefully he'll feel able to have another go at it.
I probably won't see them much over the next couple of months. I start my course of chemotherapy tomorrow and will have to try to avoid catching any bugs while my immune system is wrecked. We have tentative plans to meet up out of doors at Mugdock Park to feed the ducks, just like we did in lockdown.
