Another trip around the sun

Well, today is my birthday, so with a day off from work I met Mum and Dad for lunch at The Steading, a very old building just on the edge of Edinburgh, and it has been a restaurant as long as I can remember.  We all had a good old tuck in of veggie burger, chicken and scampi.  Then we went back to theirs for a pot of tea and coffee and a bit more tea.  We also fitted in a trip to the DIY shop for some bits and pieces for yet another project.

It has been quite windy and a bit damp today so I headed home for an early tea, and found the postie had been.  Lovely bestie sent me an amazing box of little things – thank you so much!  My brother came round this evening with some cards, and we had a good catch up about jobs and music.
