What a grey day

Here I am in Clifton just a few yards from the Oxfam shop. It’s been grey and gloomy all day, but not the rainy storms happening elsewhere. The hanging baskets on the lampposts were the brightest things I saw all day.
In the evening I listened to some of the speeches at the democratic convention in Chicago. Particularly Michelle and Barack Obama made me feel a little bit more optimistic. It’s no good thinking it’s just America’s election - it affects all of us
