Sticky Jacks

Discovered a plant in our hedge and it was about 5 feet high and loaded with prickly flower heads. We called them Sticky Jacks when I was at school and a great wheeze was to put the wiry top into someone’s hair. Usually the person on the seat in front!
I believe this is a Great Burdock and regarded as having medicinal properties.
