Bobbies on the Pier

We went to Clacton on Sea today for the air show. They hold it every year and it’s a free event with Spitfires, Hurricanes, parachutists and the Red Arrows. It turns out the Arrows are in Canada for three weeks, so that was disappointing. We got there at lunchtime and found a parking spot. We stepped out of the car and the wind just blew us away. It was blustering gale force. The show was supposed to start at 2pm, but there wasn’t much chance of holding an air show today. We are home again now. Try again next year.
Even the police were worried about their helmets blowing into the sea.
