An early refinement session this week because I have a backlog of material for engineering to review. In the afternoon, G and I reviewed the targeting process the Head of AdOps. It went very well, and we're on plan.

While chatting with them, Mum and Dad arrived, so I set them up in the living room with tea, coffee, and biscuits. After the meeting concluded, I went and heard about their journey. It sounded like everything went well, and cross-London was easy for them.

PY and I had decided we should take them out to dinner tonight and settled on the Korean. PY tried to book but got no response from the booking system. Ultimately, I popped out at lunchtime and arranged a 7:30pm table. When we arrived, the restaurant had a couple of other tables, but it was quiet.

The food was good, but the service could have been faster. PY always get the soft-shell crab if it's on the menu, and this evening was no different. He said it was good. I went for the Kimchi Pancake starter, which was less spicy than expected.

We selected the restaurant because of the barbecue-at-the-table experience, which would be nice. The act of barbecue was fun for the main portion of the meal, but some of the meat was gristly and disappointing.

Overall, the meal didn't live up to expectations. I hope Mum & Dad's lunch tomorrow is better.
