Perhaps precaution ?

I saw this at traffic lights today, and wondered if carrying it on top of a car was  indication of precaution given the very wet summer we have had , particularly this week with over 100 mm of rain where I live in Argyll already, and it is only Thursday !

But I also liked the shape and colours, and for some reason it put me in mind of a wonderful poem by Norman McCaig which I have mentioned in this journal before.
