Southport Pier

We waited until later afternoon to have an hour at the seaside, and the tide was in too! If you know Southport, you’ll know that this isn’t a normal situation…..tidal shift over the years means very few high tides, and the once sandy beach is slowly turning green and marshy…
The pier too is in decline, health and safety concerns means that it’s closed to the public and slowly rotting….
