Happy
For the last month I’ve been gainfully preoccupied with transforming my son’s girlfriend’s Mums garden. She’s back tomorrow after a month away working and has seen none of the work, exciting. Today was the last chance to work on it and I reported for duty at 8.30am as nasty weather was forecast.
Not a spot of rain til four which gave me over seven hours of heaven.
Dug out the pond of all the tatty matty sedge, replaced the pump and filled it with flag irises from my garden. New hedge trimmer purchased which made for a fun toy so I was up and down ladders trimming and tidying all the bushes.
Chopped out a few straggly trees
Dug out the front flower bed and stocked it again from my own garden.
All the while with the Ground Force tune in my head. No similarity to Charlie Dimmock.
Oooh I had fun. The garden is an absolute trim turnaround from its previous overgrown state, just can’t wait to hear the reaction.
Own garden. Slugs 15. Frogs 2 jump scares 1
