Celebration
We went to Oakley Wood Crematorium today to celebrate the life of our close friend, Maureen, who passed away recently.
The humanist service was very moving with music and poems, read by Ann and Emma, chosen by Maureen and tributes from the family including, of course, her partner Ian.
She was a lovely person and a great friend of forty years, she shall be sorely missed.
The crematorium, near Warwick, is set in a large wooded area. There is also a Natural Burial Ground. Obviously photo taking in such a situation is difficult, so I took a shot of the woodland view from the North Chapel where the service took place.
After, a reception was held at The Old Four Penny Shop, a hotel/pub/restaurant. A very nice place with a comfortable garden where we sat.
