Living my dream

By Mima

Somebody ...

... has a new favourite blanket.

I scored this at an opp shop on Tuesday. Without saying a word Bean has informed me that it is her best EVER blanket. She is the happiest dog in the world.

It is a cotton patchwork backed with the densest fleece possible and as soon as I put a hand on it in the opp shop I could feel its warmth.

And now for something completely different (although no more important than Bean's welfare).

I heard the vacuous and the fatuous came together in two sentences from the orange idiot’s mouth this morning, when he asserted that if he becomes US President he will create World Peace. And all it will take is one phone call.

Good grief. I thought he couldn’t come out with anything which would make me laugh, but I was wrong. I hooted. Several times.

Imagine the prospective US President sounding like a beauty pageant contestant! In fact perhaps his utterances were simply a reflection of what he’d most recently been watching. The cult of personality will, of course, not suffer from such banal inanities. But seriously...

Thank goodness there are some grown ups elsewhere in the US election.

The change in Democratic candidate has ignited my interest, which I wasn't expecting. I wonder if that is something that is being reflected amongst voters in the US too? I hope there will be a simply huge turnout...

And something different again:
The extra is for Melliseus, to complete the non-classical CD collection Chez Mima. 10CC included.
