Field of Dreams

If you build it, they will come. . . .

My husband and I were on our way to what would be one of the chilliest swims of summer at Greenwood Furnace State Park. There would be very few people at the park; it was almost like our own private little lake. I guess many of the kids have gone back to school already!

We stopped at Couch's on the way, hoping to pick up two American hoagies; and we ended up with the surprise special of the day: one pulled pork sandwich and curly fries for $5.99, which we split at an outdoor table, plus one hoagie for the cooler, to share later at the park.

I was noodling around outside while my husband was inside Couch's ordering, and I was thinking what a pretty day it was. And so I snapped some pictures of the green fields of corn beneath a sky with a background of blue, against which fluffy cotton clouds sailed by. 

I didn't expect baseball players to walk out of that field and play for me. No, I didn't. But I did enjoy the corn, and the pretty sky of a gorgeous summer day.
