The Old Airfield

It was a bit of a rough night last night. I slept through it but Marian told me. Some of the pictures on the TV news from further up the country were pretty dramatic.

Today's been a good day with some nice sunny spells and that chilly wind has dropped. I took a walk on Little Haldon heath which is where the old Teignmouth Airfield was back in the 1930s. The heather and gorse were looking good and I like this little silver birch standing among the low growing vegetation.
