Berries

There's a bumper crop of berries on the tree the other side of my back fence, I think they're elderberries. A gorgeous afternoon with lots of sunshine and breezy, but nothing like the gales of this morning. The weather station at Weybourne recorded the largest gust of wind at 54mph - scary when like me you live next to tall trees that are in full leaf. I don't remember a named storm like Lilian in August before. Then heavy rain is forecast tomorrow morning, they're talking about a month's worth of rain in Suffolk / Essex in only 5 hours. I was originally going to a U3A photoshoot at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse this morning, but G and I have rescheduled our visit to early Sept. I loved sitting out reading in the garden this afternoon after that weather this morning. I did also mow the lawn and have a nice catch up with one of my sisters. I also rang Octopus Energy to see if they'd let me transfer to a new fixed rate tariff even though I've a few weeks to run on my existing contract, but no joy.....AND on hold I had to listen to Mull of Kintyre, Save All Your Kisses for Me and Bye, Bye Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!
