A day in the life

Excursions and accident - Day 10

I slept well and long today and when I got up, K&J had already prepared sandwiches and hot chocolate for us to have when when we went to look for two pieces of art at further up the High coast. Both being windshelters, created by a group of architects who had a task of making.a windshelter in a short time, combining architecture and nature.
The first one was ”Stranded”, a shelter very close to the water on a rocky beach. When we were there, another couple came along with two dogs, so they willingly acted as photo-objects. I thought it was really beautiful and also very functional.

The second place (first extra) was actually next to stranded, the rocks themselves. It’s easy to understand erosion-by-waves here, and also that it takes a looong time to erase a piece of rock if you’re a wave.

Third place and second windshed showes the inside of ”The Cube” sitting in a tree with a ladder leading to it. Second extra is taken from the inside of the cube, a quite confusing place to be. The third exta is the cube itself.

The fourh extra is a less is a less fun event, happening on the path back to the car from the cube, when J suddenly fell after her foot was caught in a hole hidden by the grass. Some ligaments was damaged and she will have a swollen and hurting foot for a whie. Not a nice ending to our lovely day but she is very brave
