Cut-price supermarket shop day today, and one of my little pleasures is to see what goodies are on sale this week on the plant racks outside the shop.
In previous years this has often been enhanced by numerous bees buzzing around, showing the undecided shopper which plants really are bee-friendly.
But in keeping with this year, there were no bees to be seen. Not one.
It’s very worrying.
