Plenty of honey after all!

A friend has two hives. This year his bees have been very busy. This delicious jar is proof! He is very generous in giving jars to his friends. It is also good to know that despite less bees around this summer the honey yield has still been excellent. We’ve also noticed very few wasps around here this year. We are surrounded by arable farmland. Perhaps the insecticides to promote the harvest are taking a heavy toll on the wasps?
