The following day

Yesterday was not looking good with rain and wind but by mid morning it had cleared and l determined to go to Samphire  Hoe hoping to catch some spectacular waves.  Sadly the sea walls had been locked off as it was deemed too dangerous (health and safety grrr) but we had a pleasant enough walk in the sun.  On the way back we stopped at the Zetland pub on the shingles and sat in the sun sipping a pint and then because we are such adventurers we drove inland to Solleys farm, the premier ice cream maker in Kent,  and had a delicious ice cream each.  I had a chocolate brownie and M had rum and raisin. We also bought a box of Raspberry Ripple to have with fruit for pud.
