River Findhorn
We investigated a stretch of the River Findhorn today. We started at Logie Steading, a visitor centre on the Logie Estate, seven miles inland from Forres, and before doing anything else we had a coffee. That set us up for a walk along the river but this was no gentle stroll along a grassy riverbank. Instead, the path led us through mixed woodland at some height above the river with near-vertical drops down to the whisky coloured water rushing below us. Gaps between trees gave us breath-taking views of the river and wonderful water-
sculpted rocks with deep potholes at least half a metre in diameter. Another grand day out.
