Wound up in Wexford

Getting a pattern

The pump in our pond has failed, again.  Joe is sourcing a different brand, and we'd set aside this morning for him to come and replace it, but he couldn't come.

We took a trip into New Ross, to pick up a replacement for a faulty thermostat from one of our towel radiators.

After lunch, I sat down to finish sewing the binding on the quilt, but was interrupted by Michael, the owner of the local window company we are using to replace our front door, who needed to get a pattern for the arch.  One of his employees had been earlier in the week, but been foiled by the design.   Michael struggled, not helped by the very blustery wind, but succeeded with the help of the other guy, and a hand from myself.

You can see from the extra that a replacement is needed - from inside we can see daylight through that crack.  And the door was painted only last year with the rest of the outside of the house.

Later, I did completely finish the quilt, and then washed it in the bath.  And I've chosen the next project, and started to gather the necessary bits.
