Wildflowers in the wild west...

...this is a back blip as yesterday was full on! We were out on the road for over 9 hours and were absolutely knackered by the time we got home.

We were very lucky with the weather as the rain held off for most of our expedition. Interestingly, the paper daisies (everlastings) were mostly of the yellow variety. Apparently last year the dominant colours were pinks.
The carpets of everlastings went on and on - simply stunning!!
I'm adding a bunch of flowers as extras. I am no botanist but amongst the extras is a donkey orchid, lemon scented sun orchid and some other pretty little flowers....
We are off home tomorrow and no doubt there will be some canola fields - I apologise ahead of time.
I will probably go through todays images a bit later (or tomorrow) ;-)
