A Grey Day
I haven’t ventured out at all today (along with many others, I would guess). It’s been what Mum used to call a “low ceiling day”, and plenty of rain too.
I got a sturdy black sack and cleared out more kitchen cupboards. I have several tins of vegetables, soup, baked beans and spaghetti dating back to the pandemic - remember when we worried that our food might run out and stocked up on long life stuff? They’re now about two years beyond their “best before” date, and I’m wondering if I should use them or just chuck them? I’m not much of a consumer of tinned food on the whole, but I also don’t like waste.
I seem to have a lot of tupperware containers. Depending on what else comes out of the boxes in the garage, I may have to ditch some of those to make room for other things. I hate having to make so many decisions about what to keep. Maybe I should just throw/give all my possessions away? I’m getting so fed up with going through everything, it’s really boring!
As the dahlias Christine gave me from her garden last Sunday are still hanging on, I thought I’d have a play around with a monochrome effect to accentuate that wonderful textured look they have. I think they will have gone over tomorrow, but they‘ve done well to last a week indoors in water.
