This afternoon I went to Pendeen and walked the footpath below Carn Eanes to get a view to the engine houses of East Boscaswell Mine. There are two of them (see my extra picture). This was not uncommon. One housed the engine that pumped water out of the mine-workings, the other, the stamps engine which drove the ore-crushing machinery. Tin mine engine houses are iconic of Cornwall.
