Testing
There was some sunshine first thing, so I walked Django in the Estate. However, it started to cloud over and at the Low Pond (pictured) came the moment when we were in sunshine, but ominous dark clouds were approaching from the north. There was a brief heavy shower, but we didn't get soaked and, when the sun broke through again, it largely dried us off.
At home I followed the test match, and then watched United's game at Brighton - which wasn't a fun experience. All the time I was testing three solvers on eight problems that Kraken had given me - some calculations took a long time. It was interesting to see the results, and start to get a feel for what we can do for them.
In the early evening, I went shopping for groceries with A, as I followed the final moments of the test match. It's been difficult to get across to A the interest in a sporting event that takes up to five days, and that having seen the first two days brings a connection with the rest of the match that's compelling.
