Butterfly

The day started rather cloudy but by lunchtime it was warm & sunny so we could eat lunch outside. While doing so I watched several butterflies and some were landing on leaves or flowers long enough to get a photo - however as soon as I brought out my camera they took fright and disappeared!

Later I did however manage to get a quick shot of this one - as I crept closer for a better shot it too decided to leave so I've had to crop and sharpen this shot somewhat. But I decided to blip it anyway. Otherwise it was a busy afternoon in the garden again, my main task today being to prune the pyracantha - from which job I miraculously managed to sustain only one minor scratch - they do have vicious thorns!
