Cool soil helps

Today seemed to have been the hottest day this year. At our place it was "only" 33°C in the shadow. Caspar was mostly in the shadow. And where possible on places that were cooler than other. Like here on the freshly spread soil.
Despite the heat we continued with our patch-project. D. finished the filling of the gaps between the palisades with mortar. And I filled the patch for a big part with soil. (The extra was made by Hanulli. Caspar was allowed to join us, now that the ditches were filled. He was quite curious.)
It started to rain at 22:00 and will rain until about 5 in the morning. That will help with my work. Monday or Tuesday it will be dry enough again to continue. After all, there is still a big heap of soil left over. But we have an idea what to do with that. So, to be continued ....
