Life's Little Moments

Skipping

I haven't identified this skipper butterfly yet so if you are curious, check back tomorrow - at that point I will have had time to ID it.  Meanwhile, just know that it is a very cute little skipper.

Bestie Ellen came up today to visit.  She, Peg, Hubs and I went to a local farm where we sat outside and had a delicious lunch.  All part of the plan to keep Peg surrounded by love.  After Ellen headed back to Princeton, Peg and I sat outside on the deck and just talked about things.  It is still hard to accept what happened, the suddenness of it, but I think talking about it helps her to process.

I forgot to mention that yesterday we released a beautiful monarch in her husband's memory, and also one in memory of her husband's best friend who died a number of years ago (and for whom I always release a monarch every summer).  It was amazing to watch the first butterfly swoop and sore around the garden, circling back over the deck several times as if to make sure we saw how strong and swift he was flying, as if he was checking in on his beloved partner.  Lots of emotion, lots of love.  When Ellen was here today, we released one in her mother's memory.

Jax has been reveling in all the people coming to visit.  He really does love having visitors, loves all the attention.

Thanks so much for all of you who have sent Peg love and prayers this week.

xoxo
Debbi
