Had a lovely day in sunny Manchester, with lunch in Festival Square, where we bumped into a friend who works for the Manchester International Festival and heard about some of the backstage things that go on - Kenneth Branagh and Alex Kingston did some stuff with some Ancoats kids this afternoon apparently. Then back to the Mayfield Depot (you may remember I went there first the week before last) to see more Festival events, in a different part of the building that you see here (still quite dark, so not a great photo again).
