Soggy Saturday
Well, today has certainly been an adventure! In a bid to not spend too much time milling around, we'd decided to go to Camden for a wonder around the market. Sadly it rained literally all morning and most of the afternoon so that put the kybosh on that. In trying to find somewhere to go we ended up getting very, very wet (I had a brolly but it basically only kept my hair and face dry, haha), and sought shelter in a Costa Coffee (tuna panini ftw) before heading to The Worlds End for a bit. Gotta love a pub that blasts System Of A Down in your ears as you enjoy a fruity cider. From there we headed to Hackney Wick and stayed at Beer Merchant Tap for beers and chicken strips; luckily the rain subsided by the time we needed to head over to the Copper Box Arena for Rev Pro Wrestling's anniversary show. We got stupidly good seats at the very end of the second row; no-one in front of either of us! The whole card was pretty great and I enjoyed every match, but the highlights for me were Ishii vs JJ Sale (I am such an Ishii fangirl), Mina Shirakawa vs Dani Luna (I heart Mina; she's my main photo here) and Zack Sabre Jr vs Hechicero, not least because ZSJ's main crowd chant is "F**k the Tories". Very enjoyable bellowing that with a giant crowd behind you. So, despite the weather and returning to the hotel with damp socks, I had a wonderful day.
