Leveret
The grass was too wet for the lawn mower so I decided to strim the steeper banks. I hadn't got very far when I saw something wriggling in front of me. It's one of the smallest leverets I have ever seen. Its eyes are open, but it can only crawl slowly. If there is one, there is probably a second one nearby. So I have stopped strimming and left it in peace. The mother hare will come looking for it at dusk to feed it.
