Herne Bay: Piersserines
Enjoy the seaside colours in large
Im and I went to Herne Bay in the middle of the day.
We happened across another local Pride gathering, although this one was rather less bustling than the Margate one; the vibe was more village fête than carnival, but it still seemed jolly.
We went out onto the pier; the usual expectant shorebird presence was augmented by the plaintive pleading of loads of fledgling sparrows and juvenile herring gulls, so it wasn't just human children mewling at the seaside today.
