Rare

Up early this morning as Himself was out and about with a friend who's training for an autumn marathon and had left the house before 0730. I was also meeting some people for a somewhat shorter trail run but that wasn't until a bit later. It was a lovely autumn (even though its still August) morning, cool and sunny and nowhere near as wet as I expected after yesterday. 

Food shopping (always) and more laundry done I'm now sorting out the garden. We're away for almost three weeks and while the house and cats will be well looked after by at least one of the offspring they're not gardeners and it will definitely be the end of the season when we get back. I need to pick and cook and freeze everything I can over the next few days.

Sausage surprise for tea. The surprise being I bought three different lots this morning but didn't notice the butcher had put them all in one bag until I got home so it will be a guessing game - old english, pork & leek or rare breeds (the best ones). He makes them all himself and they're all good.
