Inspection
Operation rug rescue continues. When I visited my mother for lunch and coffee, her caregiver E showed me a bit of fresh moth damage in another one of the antique carpets in my mother’s house. I had hoped that it would be hoovered and trodden on enough to be safe, but it obviously wasn’t.
So I took it home with me. Because it’s much smaller than the ones I had rescued before, I could wash it myself. It’s now drying on the terrace. Later I will treat it with neem oil spray, and find a new place for it.
Chaiyya was inspecting and sniffing the rug very thoroughly. I think she might smell my mother’s cat Lisa on it.
