Rainy Day

Woke up before 8 and managed a walk down to where the canal joins Loch Fyne before the rain started in earnest.
After breakfast we made sandwiches, donned waterproofs and walked 7.5 round trip to Cairnbaan in ceaseless rain but at least no wind. Got back to base very damp and fell asleep in the bath!
I enjoyed the walk though, and we had the amazing experience of an otter running onto the towpath just in front of us and pausing for a minute before plunging into the canal. I’ve never been so close to an otter before. Made it all worthwhile.
