Not the blip I intended
The shot I was going to blip is now the first extra. As part of the gala weekend on the railway I saw that the 1.15pm run would be double-headed by Hercules and Betton Grange, so W and I decided to go over to Windpump Crossing to see it. Certainly an impressive sight coming up the hill but after it had passed we noticed that a small fire had started on the embankment. I called the fire brigade who were there within about ten minutes but by that time the fire had spread along quite a length of the embankment. It was quite a windy day so you could really see how easy it would be for fires to get out of control very quickly.
Blipper Bom had joined us so she alerted the railway so they could stop services until the fire was extinguished, which probably took about fifteen minutes. I've added a couple of extras of the firemen dealing with the fire plus, as mentioned, the shot I'd meant to blip.
