Letting Go

Today would have been J’s birthday. I met up with SiL and husband and daughter (and niece) S, at Hengistbury Head. Our party also included three dogs - I met S’s very large dog for the first time.

J loved this place, and today the weather was perfect - sunshine and fluffy clouds, and very blowy. I had brought some of J’s ashes down, and I cast them to the wind in a lovely spot away from the general throng (bank holiday Sunday, it was very busy with both people and their canine friends).

As we sat by the waters edge on the sand spit overlooking Christchurch harbour having lunch a Spitfire was doing loop the loops above us as if in celebration.

A couple of temporary extras added.,
