Tatties

Very quiet here at the moment. Farmers seem to have gone away after the local shows and I didn't see or hear a single tractor on our walk this morning.
The village seems quiet too. It was a day of showers and midges! One then the other, alternately. I lifted the rest of the tatties, this is the last shaw, showing Granda's fork. I only stabbed two tatties, we'll use them first. Hardly any tiny ones either. It's obviously been a good year for them. That's gardening though, different crops need different weather. So long as we get a decent crop of some things, I'm happy!
Later Mike and I took the old fence down. It's done well and has stood up against 90mph winds but it's getting a bit shuggly now. Very tangled in clematis and honeysuckle so they had to be well chopped back in order to extricate the fence.
