Having Fun
A treat this morning to take Erica and her Mum to pottery. Holly and I managed a bit of a catch up while Erica was creating her masterpieces. A couple of hours passed all too quickly with special friends. We always have fun when we meet :-)
Then it was off to work at Aber Cafe, an eight hour shift in the kitchen made more entertaining by defrosting the big freezer since it was almost empty after a very busy weekend. A miscommunication about pre-booked food ( some bookings did not get forwarded to me) meant I had to magic up meals for six people plus four cream teas, all while faced with a long queue at the till! We negotiated an extended 'tea break' stop and thanks in no small part to the composure and versatile help of my fifteen year old assistant, everyone went away well fed and feeling looked after. It was the latest finish for one of these sunset trains ... full dark by the time the train got back to Tywyn, at pretty much the same time we did after clearing up.
A day off tomorrow will see me setting up a pottery stall at Bryncrug Country Fair. Should be fun.
