a great Frito-lay

According to my husband , though they really are called Great Spangled Fritillaries. He came in to the house and said that there was a Viceroy in the yard, so I headed out with the camera expecting the two monarchs from earlier in the day . But it was a fritillary- which was a surprise , haven't seen one in months.
We went to my friends jazz party that they have every year. Her brother is 86 and has been a jazz musician in NY for many years and comes in and drags out his old organ and gets together with friends to play. Always a pleasure to listen , though it was hot today so we didn't stay too long.
