Childhood

The mummy of Takabuti is one of the best-known antiquities in the Ulster Museum, Belfast. Takabuti was a young woman who lived in Egypt during a tumultuous period, around 600 BC. Her mummy was unwrapped and investigated in Belfast in 1835.
Thougt to be the mummy of a 35 year old mother from Thebes. She appears to have been murdered by an axe while running away from an unknown assailant.  We'll never know. l
She has been part of my childhood.. 60+ years ago.. And still draws me!
