I finished the jigsaw!
It is not as sepia as you might think, just that the lighting was quite midnight-ish (see update, below). The Proms concert was still on TV, but even that finished as I hastened towards the climax, Dunluce castle, which I actually did visit in the rain (I'll put in a link) https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3242252355445460217 One piece was missing, but after a good search I couldn't find it , so decide to lock up and go to bed. Then, as I was on my way, it came to light on the kitchen floor! More photography needed. I did NOT visit the old Bushmills Distillery, nor Mount Stewart gardens on my recent visit, which means I can go back, because there's the Mountains of Mourne too, waiting to be explored!
From the mid afternoon I mostly jigsawed and listened to podcasts or watched TV. In the morning I'd been over to S's, and had lunch with him (GF stuff from M&S) and then went to a place near Minchinhampton where GG is interested in a bungalow. We poked around the outside. It's not a looker, but she could make something of it, with help. Then I insisted we drive to Minch for coffee, so we could look around the town. We found TWO charity shops, and one open! GG decided to do some hula hooping in the street. She drew a small crowd. And there were two cafes, one open! If GG moves there, I'm going to haunt Henry's cafe for breakfast! It is an eminently sensible idea to move there, but of course there is many a slip between lip and cup of organic swiss-water-method decaffeinated coffee!
In the evening Steve and I watched Sherwood, new series. I am turning into my mother: I found it most unpleasant, though for different reasons. My mother might wonder why the warring gang nembers of Nottingham couldn't have sorted out their differences over a cup of cocoa. On the other hand, I was thinking, 'I'm off duty now,: I don't want to know. Bring on the TV shows about wildlife, or guide dog puppy school'.
Update: I have changed the photo to a daytime shot of the puzzle
