Adiós Alsace!
We had a special few hours at Mamie's - she asked if we could read the Bible together before we ate lunch - so that was a joy to have that time with her, and to pray for her.
She'd made a lovely lunch, and afterwards pulled out more photo albums of wonderful childhood holidays (I'll add an extra or 2!). She also showed me the albums of her and Papi's family photos too. Extra special to be with her today as it's the 12 year mark of Papi passing away.
She'd made us a crazy big and generous picnic, including smoked salmon, all manner of hams, baguettes, boiled eggs, loads of different veg etc... Even Danny wouldn't be able to get through it all! It'll see us through the first day or 2 in Ibiza!
It was sad to leave her, I must make sure not to leave it so long til the next time.
We drove 4 hours to just outside Lyon. We'd booked a motorway side hotel which was just right for what we needed.
Long drive tomorrow!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) This time with Mamie. Very precious.
2) Mamie's generosity - a woman to learn from.
3) Arriving safely at the hotel.
